PaliGemma 2
PaliGemma 2 is the next-generation open-weight vision-language family combining the SigLIP image encoder with Gemma 2 decoders. Three model sizes and three image resolutions offer choices for adaptation and compute constraints. It is designed for fine-tuning on visual tasks including OCR, image captioning, document understanding, localization, and question answering. Later mix fine-tunes are variants of this release rather than separate model generations.
