Med-PaLM
Med-PaLM is Google’s published medical-language research model using instruction prompt tuning to adapt Flan-PaLM to medical question answering. The study evaluates medical exams and long-form consumer health questions, including physician assessment of answer quality and harm. It demonstrated medical-domain adaptation of a large language model but did not release weights or a general inference endpoint. Its publication qualifies as a historical research milestone.
