DataGemma
DataGemma is an open-weight Gemma 2 specialization that connects language generation to public statistics in Google Data Commons. Retrieval-interleaved generation annotates statistics with queries for verification, while retrieval-augmented generation prepares questions for external retrieval and synthesis. The released RIG and RAG checkpoints are components of a complete retrieval workflow. They are early research models intended to study grounding rather than standalone general-purpose assistants.
