Bonsai 27B
Bonsai 27B is PrismML’s larger multimodal tier, derived from Qwen3.6-27B and optimized for local devices. It retains a hybrid linear/full-attention language backbone and image understanding, while binary language weights sharply reduce storage and memory needs. The model supports a 262K context, with an optional vision-tower package for image inputs; language-only deployment can omit that package. Apache-licensed weights are provided in GGUF and MLX formats, alongside ternary variants. July 14 is the official public release date. Hardware demonstrations and packed-weight footprints do not remove the additional memory cost of context, activation buffers, and runtime components.
